Text Box: A dream of one lady was to build a playhouse for her elementary school aged daughter . . . . . . and for herself.

She bent this Architect's ear with her vision, and a fun design study resulted.

A look recalling that of little cottages found in children's books was sought. To that end elements such as a curved roof peak, variegated shingle patterns, applied decoration and bright color is incorporated.

Though not rendered, carved animal heads were envisaged in lieu of the round newel atop the posts supporting the suspension bridge. Further such carvings were thought to be appropriate in a running frieze on the lower trim.
